Comment’s on Immigration from Pres. Obama and Trump – On the Pulse – Transcription

WGRN Staff Reporter, Ivy Lyons

President Obama and President Trump having something in common.

It shouldn’t be surprising that they agree on somethings, but Donald Trump tweeted I agree with President Obama 100%. What was he talking about? Listen to President Obama’s words.

Now, there have been 0 democrats with an open border policy and this looks- this tweet looks like it aimed- like a jab to the democrats. I’m going to roll through the way that Donald Trump’s twitter is rolled out.

“For those who want and advocate for illegal immigration, just take a good look at what has happened to Europe over the last 5 years. A total mess. They only wish they had that decision to make over again.”

I’m not sure who advocates for “illegal immigration” research really hasn’t brought anything back on that.

“We are a great, sovereign nation,” the President says, “we have strong borders and we will never accept people coming to our country illegally.”

Now, again, I don’t- President Obama did not advocate for any sort of illegal immigration, I don’t know of any democrat who has. Advocating for the Dreamers, advocating for legal immigrants, that advocacy happens all the time. But that is not advocacy for illegal immigration.

He immediately-this is all- I’m just running you through his feed-

Brian Kemp will be a great Governor of Georgia, Stacy Abrams will destroy the state. So important, get out and vote for Brian

Republicans will totally protect people with pre-existing conditions, democrats will not. Vote republican.

This is not really factual. Because democrats, across the United States are also making a part of their campaign protecting people with pre-existing conditions.

[Luke] pointed out to me that the Vice President Mike Pence got a retweet from President Trump who said, “I agree wholeheartedly”. What did the Vice President say?

We condemn the attacks against former President Obama, the Clintons, CNN and others. These cowardly actions are despicable and have no place in our country. Grateful for swift response of the Secret Service, FBI, and Law Enforcement. Those responsible will be brought to justice.”

The bomber has been caught, yes, we reported that earlier tonight. Apologies, I am having a conversation with Luke as well. But, just a brief hot take.

Why couldn’t the President say this himself? Why couldn’t he name President Obama, the Clintons, CNN and others? At one point, Fox News actually didn’t even dare put the name CNN on their chyron. They actually put “& Media Outlet” and said that “a Media Outlet” was also the target.

Why, exactly Fox felt like they couldn’t put a name on, I don’t know. Why the President couldn’t say these individual people’s names and why he, immediately after, turned this kind of against the media, saying that the media is creating this discourse. I hope you think about that, I’ll be thinking about that for a while.
